Ever since I was a kid I have been obsessed with water and the finny creatures that live in them. As water trickles from tiny streams and backwaters, meets to form rivers, halts at man-made dams for lakes and eventually flows into an estuary before finding it’s way back to the ocean, there is some form of game fish to be caught at every stage. As a freelance content creator, I have been reporting on fishing for 20 years, finding the stories between fish and angler to be a stretched line of heroes, heartache, triumph, torture, inspiration, and exasperation.
